Dr. Crowell and his team are amazing! I returned after many years of seeing a different dentist because they were closer to my work. It was definitely worth the travel going back to Affinity Dental as they don’t charge above and beyond what insurance covers for the average procedure though for the quality of work I would definitely pay the overages! I have a 100% coverage and Affinity Dental bills it directly to my insurance so that I don’t need to worry about all the paperwork and waiting to be reimbursed for part of it. I love that that Affinity Dental at Mayfield has cutting edge technology and is current on recent successful research and studies. They are knowledgeable and share that knowledge throughout my visits. They are mindful of my specific and individual needs when recommending treatments procedures and products and are always happy to answer any questions I have. All the staff there are so friendly and they make you feel so comfortable! I highly recommend Affinity Dental at Mayfield Common!

I am 75 years old and a journalist. have been going to Affinity at Mayfield for a couple years - I think six different treatments now including fillings and crowns. I am from a small community in the NWT and came to them after reading reviews of different Edmonton dentists. They had been highly rated and I have not been disappointed. I will say with confidence that Dr Southwood and his able assistant Tracy are excellent - as good as I could ever hope for. The staff generally are competent capable smart and very nice. I am always treated professionally but in a warm way that makes me feel I am among friends. Five stars from me for sure.

Affinity Dental is by far the best dentist I’ve ever had. Having lived in four different cities I can confidently say this practice stands out. The front staff is incredibly friendly and helpful especially Liz who is wonderful! Dr. Randy Crowell is fantastic with my kids; he explains everything he’s doing to keep them comfortable and his knowledgeable and reassuring approach makes all the difference. Dr. Southwark is also amazing and a fantastic dentist. I can’t thank them enough for their kindness—my kids are never anxious about going to the dentist!

I have been a long time client of mayfield affinity for all my dental needs. From the moment I stepped into the clinic I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by the staff. They use the latest technology for my treatments and throughly explain each procedure and answer all my questions. What sets them apart from other offices is their commitment to patient care. The staff genuinely care about their patients well-being and go above and beyond to provide personalized attention.

As usual AF meets all my expectations. My service this week was routine X-rays and teeth cleaning however it had been a few years than I care to admit. Carmen was both informative as to the process and caring in her techniques around the cleaning itself. Dr Crowell met with me and with Carmen they put together a treatment plan. It was appreciated that there was no judgment as to my absence and I was made to feel very welcomed.

This dental clinic is the best. I have some childhood trauma from going to the dentist and Dr. Crowell is the best. Every visit is pain free and stress free. He is the BEST!!! The whole crew at Affinity Dental goes above and beyond for your comfort. Liz at the reception is just amazing. She makes you feel welcomed and is always willing to go the extra mile.

Dr Southwood and Tracy are very compassionate and understanding. I'm a very nervous patient and they do all they can to ease my stress. All the front staff are very kind friendly and informative . I am so glad to have found Dr. Crowell and the team at Affinity Dental (Mayfield) many years ago. As always all staff today were welcoming and friendly. A place where people listen and provide kind care isn't easy to find! Dr. Crowell will make even the most hesitant patients feel comfortable (and Carmen is the best)!

If your worried about going to the dentist don't. A very professional and safe operation. They take the time to find out what your dental issues and deal with them. Very impressed with how they handled covid and making sure that everyone is safe. If we were doing more of this across society covid would be beat.

General Dentist

Dr. Randy Crowell is proud of the thriving family practice he has built over the past 35 years in Edmonton’s west end. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Alberta in 1991. Dr. Crowell lives in west Edmonton with his wife and three daughters and enjoys both summer and winter sports with his family.
Dr Mark Southwood

General Dentist

Dr. Southwood has been practicing dentistry for 35 years, the past 13 of which have been spent serving patients in Spruce Grove and Edmonton. He graduated from the University of Liverpool and has been happily married since 1992. Dr. Southwood and his wife have two children and two dogs, and he enjoys fishing, football, music, and home improvement projects.
